i remember the heat wave as it struck us in denver
we marched all march, some mended, some menders
we spoke ancient languages and read our own scriptures
smile never so bright as sun-rise-silver-falls-pictures
man, i had a 3 hour shower with beauty herself
and we began to hold hands, rich with mindful wealth
ain't all good, stuck out on the shoulder in a storm
until it iS, nights become days become play with no form
avoid norms, but sometimes we fall right back in
until embrace iS safe in its place, then we send
pics as postcards from bayview to loved others
chillin in hot springs with sisters and real brothers
chords struck hittin up stores for free stuff
potlucks, we ate more than enough
we lucked out, we planned, and aborted the plan
it's broke, it's fixed, it's still broke, that damn tan van
ran around the park with conscious kids and played ball
salmon river, what a trip we gave all
there was to give
and then some
together, not alone all-one
another spiritual journey chalked up to father sky
experience mother earth as she iS, so fly
why
do we travel
seems like such a battle
but it's a privilege we're endowed with we
straddle state lines like some free range cattle
it's for wyoming hill climbin, about 6 snow feet deep
blessing houses breweries and foundries with our poerty
you know that we
also felt the need to take it to the streets
dying little deaths living life, screaming fuck the police
released our expression
city-to-city, session-to-session
rewriting our stories, teaching and learning lessons
i seen family, strangers and friends new and old
and i speak it to you now
this iS my truth told

Thanks to everyone who has supported the tour release of "Burn Your Cash." We have sold CDs in many states but STL is still suspiciously shy...throw down $10 bucks and burn your cash on some meaningful muzak. Why burn your cash? 'Cause BURN YOUR CASH, that's why...
Garden Plot Jackals aren't really record label types.
We don't read fine print, and we don't sign dotted lines. That's why we accepted the offer of Person X members Proletariat and Nature Boy's offer to have our distribution run through the punk "label" Mothrasegg (like the Godzilla villain)... As DIY as we are, we couldn't figure out a sustainable, affordable way to honestly print and distribute "Burn Your Cash" from home - ink costs, stacks of discs, burning at laptop speed - we just couldn't keep up before we hit the road. So, our comrades told us of this hard-to-define effort called Mothrasegg - not a corporate record label, but an independentasfuck effort to distribute alternative styles of music. We didn't give up any artistic freedoms, and we proudly have printed the Mothrasegg logo on our packaging so as to represent proudly our new ties to this conspiracy of creative energy, Here, we are sharing with you for the first time, for FREE, one exclusive track from "Burn Your Cash" with the hopes that you might send us some fuel for the tank - we're on the road, but you can buy "BYC" online right now, or later, or at 4:17am, or from Japan, from www.mothrasegg.com/gardenplotjackals Also, check out the various albums of Person X and other Mothrasegg projects by visiting mothrasegg.com Here it is, completely FREE, the track "Breath Felt," featuring DJ Deep Breathely, Rikshaw and Blasphemy. "New date added in Seattle as part of the Indy Media Mini-Fest!
greetings from boulder, colorado. we been out on the road 4 days now, tonight's the first night off since departure show-wise, and i've been having a blast spreading music to small radical communities, playing with our partners in crime on other projects Dom and Coop and their improv meditative journey group, WinkaWerkin. we've shared the stage with hip-hop, punk, psychedelic, folk and most genre gaps therein in the first 3 shows already. the live music has been sick, and the places to stay homely on our journey west thus far. plenty of deep thought and amazing conversation has been thrown in, and the excitement is building for playing the grand opening of The Living Wrench InfoBus tomorrow night on Holy!Holy!Holy!'s old tour bus. we kicked it at collective houses every night so far, big ups to denver, kc and columbia,mo and the people we've shared amazing times with. also, to our peoples back in Saint Loser, we ain't gone to far and we love the shit out of you, we'll be back strong in April with a few shows and a proper record release for both Burn Your Cash, the newly released Garden Plot Jackals record on Mothrasegg Records. http://www.mothrasegg.com/gardenplotjackalsdiscography.html to buy the album. Green IS the color of Dead white men will be released at The Schlafly Tap Room April 15 featuring all of the performers currently on tour (Garden Plot Jackals, WinkaWerkin) and Ellen from The Skekses and Pete from Catholic Guilt. that show will be so fun!, as it's also Fuck Taxes and Steal Something From Work Day. big shout to anyone who took action today on campuses across the country today, after the call was made. for now, we kickin it hard, gonna hit some red rocks tomorrow for a hike, and we can't wait for these upcoming shows in Boulder and Salt Lake City .
